The Storytelling Room

Artist

Iris Harkavy (1980s-)

Year

2001

Iris Harkavy created a three-dimensional space in the Children’s Area with stained plexiglass, plastic, and acrylic paint. The space is meant to emulate a magical world reminiscent of the ones found in children’s storybooks. With her expert use of bright colors and familiar landscapes, Harkavy succeeds in making a safe space within the library.
