Portland-based artist Ed Carpenter created a massive glass installation for the Benjamin L. Hooks Library. The glass is cut into thin strips crossed over one another. When the viewer looks at the piece from certain angles, the glass can appear blue, violet, or green. The monument is located at the center of the library, for guests to see at almost any place.
